Get to know the team!
Amy PerezAmy Perez graduated from UCSD in June 2023 with a degree in Environmental Systems - Environmental Policy with minors in Urban Studies & Planning and Anthropology: Climate Change & Human Solutions. After graduation, she planned on pursuing a career in environmental planning. Being a part of the first cohort of the Climate Justice Action and Resilience Scholars Program at UC San Diego was such a positive, transformative experience that she will forever value. The program allowed her the flexibility to follow her interests and passions in regards to understanding and tackling the climate crisis while also providing a schedule of lectures, discussions, and field outings that were engaging and inspiring to say the least.
Courtney Kim(She/Her)
Courtney (she/her) is an Anthropology major with a concentration in Climate Change and Human Solutions. She is a San Diego native who cares a lot about justice in all areas—climate, food, health, housing, race, etc.—and hopes to propagate decolonial, anticapitalist, and empowered communities in the pursuit of a sustainable and resilient world. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, art, music, eating good food, spending time with loved ones, and playing mobile games (HPMA).
Alexis GoldschmidtAlexis is a psychology major and critical gender studies minor at seventh college. She loves music, reading, and being in nature. :)
RoRan Ausman Roran is pursuing a degree in political science with a minor in climate change studies. They have spent most of their time at UCSD in leftist organizing spaces, including 4 yrs at the Food Cooperative. When not organizing in their community, Roran can be found educating the public at the Birch Aquarium and loitering in coffee shops. They plan to pursue a career in climate policy, justice, and education. They are passionate about singing, advocacy for survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, and intentional accessible design.
Andy TrinhAndy is a Molecular and Cell Biology major with minors in Sociology and Science Education. He is currently studying Asian American Experiences in STEM for his Master's thesis. He loves reading, playing games, traveling, and eating food.

Andrew Khoa Minh HaAndrew graduated from UCSD in 2022 and now is continuing his studies on the effects of climate change on human rights and migration at the Paris School of International Affairs. The CJ/AS program has inspired him to pursue a career in which he can support historically marginalized communities most affected by the climate crisis.
Eva PeschelEva is a fourth-year student majoring in Anthropology with a focus on Climate Change & Human Solutions. Her passions include travelling, cooking, being in nature, and spending time with friends! She's from San Francisco but also call Berlin home, and loves finding people who share international backgrounds and experiences:) She participated in the CJARS and loved being a part of such a diverse, welcoming, and progressive community. Let's all work together to combat climate change and its effects on society, and make the world a better place <3
AJ Feller(They/He)
AJ (They/he) is an Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution major and Climate Change and Human Solutions Minor. AJ is also a seventh college student and was raised in Gaithersburg, MD. Some of the many things they are passionate about include: finding sustainable solutions to climate change and researching how humans impact different marine ecosystems, friends and family, lifelong learning, and nature. In their free time, they like to snuggle with their cat and play rugby on the UCSD Women's Rugby Team.
Chloe DavidsonChloe Davidson graduated with a degree in sociocultural anthropology and a minor in urban studies and planning. Their favorite pastimes are gardening, baking, hiking, playing with my cat and watching bad movies. They are looking into pursuing landscape management to turn abandoned areas into community spaces.
Angelina Lopez(They/Them)
angelina (they, them) is a student of international business and critical gender studies. they serve as a green infrastructure researcher at the ucsd bioregional center. more importantly, they fill their life with dance, adventure, friendship, and poetry.

Ann Huang(She/Her)
Ann Huang (she/her) is a third-year Political Science major, minoring in Human Rights and Migrations, and Global Health. She had the most beautiful experience being a part of the first cohort of the Climate Justice & Action class, and wanted to encourage everyone to apply if you have the capacity!
In her free time, she loves to read, listen to news & relationship podcasts, play UNO and Bananagrams, and hike. Her dream job is to work for a humanitarian aid and refugee assistance organization. Currently, she works as an RA at Seventh College, and as an Organizing Director & Board Member at the University of California Student Association (UCSA). It is an organization that works to advocate for accessibility, affordability, and quality of education for students across the UC system. Haley KawarHaley is a psychology major and climate change and human solutions minor. She is very passionate about moving the body, which includes a love to climb, practice yoga, skate, read, and spend time with loved ones.
Giovanna EscamillaGiovanna is double majoring in Anthropology with a concentration in Climate Change and Human Solutions, along with Global Health. She is from Whittier, CA and loves going to concerts, curating playlists while sipping a yummy beverage, and giggling about all things monkeys. She is interested in learning more about community-based solutions to climate change.
Kyra BlackKyra studies marine biology and climate justice. They are happiest when creating artwork, spending time outdoors, and listening to good tunes.
Claudia A. Martinez(She/Her)
Claudia is a Biological Anthropology major. In her free time she enjoys scrapbooking and board games. She hopes to continue her studies and eventually end up in pathology.
